GRNNC is a woman’s social club with many day and evening activity groups to name a few:  Art Appreciation; Needlecraft; Sewing; Book Clubs; Dining and Lunch Groups; Wine Tasting; Bridge; Local Travel Trips; Photography; Genealogy; Speak Spanish Group.  Activities and lunch groups are held in the daytime.  Wine tasting, casual dining, and destination dinner are scheduled for the evening.

 

GRNNC provides support to the local Embry Rucker Shelter with much-needed article donated by our members each month.  [Much-needed items are written in the Newsletter.]  As funds are available, an annual monetary donation is made.

 

GRNNC holds a monthly General Meeting on the 3rd Thursday of *each month at St John Neumann Church, Lawyers Road in Reston, VA.  At the conclusion of the monthly General Meeting, we have a program.  Some of the programs held this year have been Best Buy Demonstration of Electronic Gadgets, Antique Jewelry Presentation, and Elder Law Attorney.  In addition, we hosted two fund raising activities this year:  Chinese and Silent Auction and a Feel Good Fair.  Refreshments are provided before and after the meeting and program.  Non-members are invited to attend and there is no admission fee.  [No meetings in June, July, and August.  Meetings resume in September.]

 

GRNNC hosts a “Coffee” each month at a member’s home.  If you are interested in attending one of our Coffees to meet a great group of women, learn about the club and/or just have an enjoyable time, please contact me.  Coffee is scheduled for June 8 and July 13.  [No coffee in August. They will resume in October.]

GRNNC hosts Special Events throughout the Year.  To mention a few held in the recent past are Game Night, Halloween Party, BBQ, and a Murder Mystery.

 

GRNNC hosts two luncheons annually.  Our Spring Luncheon was held in May at the Belmont Country Club and our 2010 Holiday Luncheon scheduled for December will be held at McCormick & Schmick’s in the Reston Town Center.
