GROUPS
 Art
Appreciation:
Members share their interest and knowledge of art from the old masters to
contemporary works through discussion groups, visits to museums and
galleries and presentations by members of their favorite artists. Meeting
dates are announced in the newsletter.
 Needlecraft:
Come share your experience and ideas at the next needlecraft meeting. Our
new meeting time is 1:00 pm on the first Thursday of the month.
Old Black & White Classics
Enjoy the great movies from the silver screen. This group meets on the
third Monday of the month to view and discuss classic movies from the
thirties and forties.

BOOK DISCUSSION GROUPS
Book Remarks:
Book Remarks meets at 11:30 on the second Thursday at
a member's home to discuss fiction, an occasional biography,
and at least one classic each year.
Mysteries & Thrillers:
The group meets monthly every second Monday at 11:30 am. Book selections are made and discussions led
by members. Mysteries & Thrillers readers meet at local restaurant.
Page Turners
Book Club:
The Page Turners Book Club meets on the third Tuesday
at 1:00 pm. Discussions cover a wide variety of books.
Members vote on an annual reading list and volunteer to
lead or host the monthly group.

"BON APPETIT" GROUPS
Casual Dining:
The Casual Dining group meets on the first Saturday evening
of every other month at a member's
home. Members attending assist in the meal preparation
by preparing an appetizer, salad, entree, vegetable or
dessert chosen from a current cookbook or magazine. The
hostess coordinates the menu. Check the newsletter to
make your reservation.
Destination Dinner:
The purpose of this group is to explore new or favorite
restaurants. The volunteer hostess makes a reservation
on the second
Saturday of the month at the restaurant of her choice.
She also invites all participants to her home for either
appetizers or dessert. Members contact the hostess to
confirm their plans to attend. Spouses or friends are welcome.
Lunch and
Movie Bunch:
The lunch bunch meets the last Wednesday of the month
at 11:30 am in a restaurant at the Reston Town Center.
During lunch, each member selects an afternoon movie and
shares reviews and opinions about what is playing at the
local theater.
Luncheon Delight:
Luncheon Delight meets on the fourth Thursday for lunch
in a member's home or at a local restaurant In February
we go to tea at the Ritz-Carlton. Check
the newsletter to see where we are going each month! All members are welcome but must call for a reservation.
Wine Tasting:
The wine tasting group meets once a month on the third
Saturday at 8. The hostess selects the wines and briefly
describes their origin and assets. Guests rate the wines
and compare rating results at the end of the evening.

CARD GROUPS
Couples Bridge:
This group meets on the fourth Saturday in the evening.
The host couple provides snacks, coffee, and dessert.
Second
Tuesday Bridge:
Second Tuesday Bridge is a two-table intermediate group
that meets the second Tuesday at 1:00 pm .The hostess
provides beverages and refreshments.
Wednesday Morning Bridge
This group meets on the third Wednesday
of the month at a regular location.
Membership is open to all levels of players. Beginners who have had lessons
are welcome.

EXCURSION
GROUPS
Antiques Group
The Antiques Group visits antique specialty shops and fairs
together. Members meet at a
central location and carpool.

Let's Go :
This new traveling group plans longer and more extensive trips - locally
and worldwide.
Museum Group
The Museum Group takes advantage of our close proximity to the
museums and galleries in the District of Columbia. We take public transportation
into the city and spend the day visiting selected venues. Dates and trips are announced in
the newsletter.
Travel Treks:
This traveling group does new and different things on
a varying monthly schedule. Members either car pool, use
Metro or travel by private bus for shopping, lunch, home,
garden, historic tours, or museums. Costs vary according
to destination.

GROWTH GROUPS
Let's Just Speak Spanish!
This group meets in the afternoon on the fourth Tuesday. It provides the oppportunity for
members who have had some exposure to Spanish to practice speaking and/or
studying further with others.
Sisters in Support
This group is for ladies who need some hands-on assistance with organizing
their homes and lives and would like to work towards that
goal with other members.
